Vision
1)	Seminary Trained staff on every campus Equip is present
Our dream is to have a qualified staff member present on every campus Equip is present, providing a knowledgeable Christian that can disciple and answer tough questions about Christian History, Theology and Apologetics to the Christians on campus, unbelievers, and the community at large, with the goal of equipping Christians to know what they believe and why they believe it, to the glory and praise of Christ.

2)	Every Equip leader has a disciple(s)
Our dream is that each leader of Equip has the training and boldness to personally disciple other college students.

3)	Equip consists of passionate and motivated leaders who study and grow in their knowledge of God
Our dream is that every student who passes through Equip will have the ability and desire to study and grow in their understanding of God’s word. We desire an atmosphere where students are not only encouraged to read their Bible but to desire it over every earthly possession. Furthermore, we want to see an earnest and zealous desire to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God, building their lives around it and spreading it to the world (Matthew 13:44).

4)	To fight the 70% statistic.
According to pollster George Barna, more than 70% of Christians entering college lose their faith by the time they graduate. Our dream is to radically reduce this statistic by providing for and serving students with the knowledge to understand and have confidence in what they believe and why they believe it.

What defines “success” for Equip Campus Ministries?
Although numerically large meetings and successful events may serve as a helpful indicator of faithfully serving Christ’s church and the lost, these cannot be a primary indication of faithfulness. What defines success for Equip Ministries is intentional and dependent prayer, culturally specific resource distribution and Christ-centered discipleship which multiplies and, through the Spirit, remains faithful to the revealed Word of God.

Equip Strategy

Intentional and Persistent Prayer
Being merely creatures dependent upon their heavenly father, the most crucial and significant aspect of our efforts should be and will be marked by persistent and intentional prayer. This ‘strategy’ is one of the few strategies that must not change, and upon which the rest of the vision and strategy of Equip Campus Ministries falls or remains faithful to our Father.

Discipleship

We believe that the most effective and Biblical way to spread the gospel is through personal, life-on-life discipleship. Jesus’ last command to his disciples was to “…go and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20). Whatever else Equip does, we believe discipleship must play a central role our faithfulness to Christ’s call upon his believers. Bypassing an exhaustive explanation of Biblically faithful discipleship, we believe it consists of the patient teaching of Biblically true theology, life-on-life mentorship and an overall love of Christ’s bride, causing believers to rest upon Christ's’ promise “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples...”.

Seeker-sensible Meetings

Our outreach meetings will contain deep, relevant, and Biblically sound messages. This means, when the Bible talks about issues such as sin, hell, God’s wrath, justice, and so on, we will not shrink back from telling the truth about such things. Being seeker-sensible means that we will speak truth in way that can be clearly understood by our culture and we will seek to become all things to all people, that by all means we might save some (1 Corinthians 9:22). Furthermore, our large group meetings will serve as the platform from which sound doctrine (Titus 1:9; 2:1) and a passionate, missional attitude will be built to proclaim the glory and beauty of Christ. Although discipleship still plays the primary and decisive role in faithfully ministering to the campus, large group meetings will help to serve the community of believers for encouragement of the vision through fellowship and friendship.

Teaching
As clearly taught in Ephesians 4:11-16, God has ordained the teaching and preaching of his Word, and Equip seeks to humbly proclaim, explain and defend His truth. We believe that the persistent and clear teaching of God’s word is central to the genuine and sustained growth of believers. Specifically, on the college campus where students are generally unprepared for the challenges to their faith, the articulation of Biblical theology is more needed then ever. What’s more, Equip staff seek to be intentional in explaining the importance of theology, revealing how a beautifully accurate picture of Jesus and His word is central to their growth in sanctification.

Resource Distribution

Resource distribution is for everyone on campus. It will serve as outreach, advertising, and evangelism. Equip staff hope to build a passion into the hearts of students and students leaders to equip their peers both through discipleship & evangelism, but also through the gift of Christ-centered resources. We desire that students budget their money in such a way that they enable themselves to plan to buy and give away books and resources to others. In addition, Equip knows how poor college students can be, and therefore budgets in order to enable this distribution through student leaders by buying them books to give away. Personal, peer-to-peer exchange of books has proved to be the most effective distribution method in the past, and is therefore one of the primary means Equip plans to flood the campus with solid God honoring literature.
